At this point, the Spurs and their fans have to be used to finding themselves close to the top of damn near any list that tracks organizational excellence. But this one is particularly peculiar.

Grammarly, an app that hails itself as “the world’s best grammar checker,” ranked the grammar of every pro basketball, football and baseball team in North America by analyzing comments and posts on sites related to each team.

Grammarly then grouped the teams together by city to come up with the most grammatically sound sports cities. The Spurs and their fans (so you, in all likelihood) fared extremely well: With only 2.54 mistakes per 100 words, SA took third overall. They were bested only by the Memphis Grizzlies (2.47 errors per 100 words) and the Sacramento Kings (2.52 errors).

San Antonio was far and away the best in Texas. Dallas clocked in at 17th on the list with 6.13 errors while Houston was 29th, weighed down by the Astros’ 12.7 errors. Not great, ‘Stros. Last on the list? Nashville, where children run wild in the streets and English texts have been replaced with Transformers coloring books because of budget cuts.

So congrats, SA. This is a weird accolade to have, but we’ll take it. Y’all sure are a bunch of real swell talkers.
