Since relocating to Los Angeles, Cayne's hit the big time: In 2007, she scored a role on ABC's Dirty Sexy Money playing a transgender woman having an affair with New York Attorney General Patrick Darling (played by William Baldwin), making her the first transgender actor to play a recurring transgender character on primetime television. As if having an onscreen affair with a Baldwin brother isn't enough to make the queens back home in Maui eat dirt, in 2009 Cayne slipped into another recurring transgender television role: Alexis Stone on the FX series Nip/Tuck.
Last night at Heat on the Main Strip, the "Very Special Guest" at Erica Andrews' Trashy Tranny Thirsty Thursday Review turned out to be none other than Candis Cayne. As evidenced by the video below, Cayne's still high-kicking — and even gives Fergie a run for her money in this performance of "Be Italian" from Rob Marshall's Fellini homage Nine.
