Ay ChinDoggOs' El Mexicano.

San Antonio's newest Mexican hot dog stand is a rad place for the after-the-bar munchies or for a casual dinner on a Wednesday night. Ayyy ChinDoggOs  (4402 Blanco Road) adds a twist on the traditional Fourth of July hot dog by adding all your favorite Mexican ingredients.

They offer a variety of toppings which include: tomatoes, onion, cilantro, jalapños, homemade green salsa, queso fresco, Mexican sweet cream, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and a creamy roasted poblano sauce when you order one of their specialty dogs. Did I mention the dogs are all wrapped in bacon?

Here's a breakdown of the menu:

El Mexicano: Bacon-wrapped (natch) dog, onion, tomato, cilantro, jalapeno, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and homemade green salsa.

The Diego: Bacon-wrapped dog, green tomatillo salsa, seasoned crushed tortilla chips, queso fresco and a Mexican sweet cream.

The Poblano:Bacon-wrapped dog with creamy roasted poblano sauce and whatever else you'd like to throw on there.

My personal fave is El Mexicano because it's the original and has everything on it. However, The Diego sounds incredible and what's better then a hot dog with queso fresco and crushed tortilla chips? For beverages, Ay ChinDoggOs carries Mexican Coke, orange Fanta and bottled water. They are open Tuesday-Saturday from 8 to 11 p.m. and open until midnight on Friday's. The dogs range from ($3 -5) depending on which you'd like to indulge in and they accept cash only.
