I’m excited about the mobile truck trend coming to San Antonio. There are a lot more vendors now with trucks, and it’s not just taco trucks anymore. It’s cool that they’re bringing good food right to the people.

Macaroons are coming in strong right now. I’ve been cooking them for 30 years now, but … they’ve only really been popular in the United States for a few years, and they’ve made their way to San Antonio.

High-end restaurants like Lüke, Brasserie Pavil, and Bohanan’s are ratcheting up their beer menu to include local Texas and U.S. craft beers as well as interesting imports. They are beginning to explore beer’s exceptional ability to pair with all kinds of cuisine and Chef-led beer dinners are popping up all over town.
