Olmos Park is caffeinated once again. After the abrupt shuttering of Olmos Perk in June (for not paying their rent to the tune of more than $13,000),
Eaton Sweet Coffee Bar has moved into that vacated space.
Owned by Erin and Tres Eaton, the shop is a 2.0 version of their original Eaton Sweet Bakery, which they opened at Wurzbach and Lockhill Selma in 2015. The Alamo Heights couple wanted to live closer to the shop and took on the Olmos Park location when it became available earlier this year.
Known for their pastries, the Eatons are slowly adding menu items to their rotation including breakfast and lunch sandwiches and now made-to-order salads. The Ranch Hand was a recent hit with chicken and Monterey Jack, bacon and jalapeño on house-made sourdough.
Pulp Coffee Roasters provides a signature blend for Eaton Sweet Coffee Bar for their line of espresso drinks, and they also carry a nitro blend from Puro Nitro, a new nitro-centric producer in San Antonio. Expect to find colorful matcha, turmeric and beet root lattes (from supplier
Matcha Konomi) as well.
