Heads up, food nerds: Feast executive chef Stefan Bowers is opening his kitchen up to guest chefs starting next Monday, September 23. The debut dinner will be headlined by Jennifer Dobbertin, caterer-owner of Hot Mess Catering, We Both Love Soup and Riff Raff Supper Club. Dobbertin, or Dobbs, will have complete creative control of the kitchen, while Bowers will help prep and expedite plates. The menu includes:
-Miang Khan-translated as "eating many things in one bite"-Barbequed Pork Neck with Dried Chilli Sauce.
-Green Mango Salad with Crispy Catfish
-Barbequed Fermented Pork Ribs
-Coconut Ice Cream with Sticky Rice and Condensed Milk on a Bun
"I want to bring in working chefs," Bowers said. "With Jenn, (bringing her in) was just a gut feeling because of her time spent in Thailand." Bowers hopes to continue the dinners on a monthly basis so look for the next one to take place in mid- to late October.
The $45 per person dinner is filling up fast, so call (210) 354-1024 to secure your spot. Visit the event's Facebook for more details.
