San Antonio's Durty Nelly's Is Closing For Remodeling

Durty Nelly’s in Ireland is one of the oldest continually operating restaurants in the world. San Antonio's version on the river level of the Hilton Palacio del Rio has been serving the Alamo City since 1974, and it's going on a wee break.

Starting January 3, 2018, the bar will undergo remodeling per a Facebook post shared Monday afternoon. According to the page, Durty Nelly's will reopen January 17 of 2018.

The classic pub has been outfitted the way an Irish pub should be since its opening in the '70s, with its dark interior surrounded by wood, slate and weathered stained-glass windows. Let's see how this remodel shapes up in the coming months.
