The longest bar in SA turns 82 this Saturday.

It's the best kind of two birds-one-stone type of scenario — The Esquire Tavern (155 E. Commerce St., 210-222-2521) is turning 82 on Repeal Day, Saturday, December 5, which celebrates that glorious day in 1933 when Prohibition was thankfully abolished.

The bar, which reopened in 2012 and went onto earn a James Beard Award semifinalist nomination for best bar program, will host a night of drinkin', dancin' and debauchery with bubbles and burlesque. No, really — expect jams from Dirty River Dixie Band and sexy dances by the Stars and Garters Burlesque troupe. All the boozin' will give you an appetite, so the kitchen will stay open until 1 a.m.

The party runs from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
