The Boston-based rock band Dropkick Murphys cancelled a Sunday night show in Tulsa after their tour bus killed a pedestrian that ran out on the highway. The accident took place early Sunday morning in Round Rock following the band's Saturday night show at Backstage Live in San Antonio. Police suspect the incident to be a suicide.

Dropkick Murphys were en route from San Antonio to Dallas, then Tulsa where they were due to play Cain's Ballroom Sunday evening. The group announced their involvement in the accident and the subsequent cancellation on their Facebook page:

We were left with a driver that has been severely shaken up by the accident and a bus too damaged to continue onto Tulsa. Throughout the early morning hours we tried every possible way to get our band and gear to Tulsa but we've simply run out of time. As much as it pains us to miss a show and we truly apologize for it, we'd like to stop and acknowledge that a man has lost his life. Please keep him and any family he might have in your prayers.

Ticket holders for Sunday's Tulsa show are promised to be issued refunds. The group is expected to continue their tour with a show in Mexico City on Wednesday.
