San Antonio's Ada Vox to Perform With Patti LaBelle Tonight

As this season of ABC’s American Idol comes to close, San Antonio’s Ada Vox, the singing drag queen from the South Side of San Antonio who slayed the competition for 6 weeks, is back on the AI stage for a special performance.

Though it’s been three weeks since we’ve seen the South San High School alum (Adam Sanders out of drag) perform on the show, Ada Vox will return to perform a duet the legendary Patti Laelle.

Yass queen, you heard that right. As part of the grand finale, which includes special performances from judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Katy Perry as well as duets with other top 10 performers from the show, Ada Vox and “New Attitude” singer Patti LaBelle will perform LaBelle’s iconic hit “Lady Marmalade.”

The San Antonio queen alluded to her return on her Instagram on Sunday:

The first part of the finale aired on Sunday. Watch Ada Vox and Patti Labelle tonight, Monday, May 21 at 8pm.
