A man was stabbed in the abdomen, and a second man was knocked unconscious, during an assault near the River Walk early Friday morning, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Police arrived at the scene at around 2:30 a.m., and the 27-year-old man who was stabbed reportedly did not want to give SAPD information about the incident. The stabbing victim was transported to the San Antonio Military Medical Center, and was unable to describe the suspect who stabbed him.
The second victim, a 32-year-old man, was found lying unconscious on the ground near the River Walk elevator on Presa Street. He was reportedly knocked out by a second suspect when his friend was stabbed. He was transported to Baptist Medical Center as a precaution, and remained in stable condition with no major injuries, police said.
Police believe the two men who were injured, along with two witnesses, were walking down the street when they were assaulted by several men. Like the victim who was stabbed, the two witnesses declined to cooperate with SAPD.
