Despite what certain foreign exchange students might think, the flyer blowing around the St. Mary’s Strip that reads, “Hey Pussy, It’s a Taco Tribute,” is not advertising a feline-friendly review celebrating ’80s-era Dutch pop-star Taco, who readers may remember from his cringe-worthy cover of Irving Berlin’s “Puttin’ on the Ritz.” No, the flyer in question refers to TacoLand — a bygone punk venue made nationally famous by Ram Ayala. On Saturday, Suzy Bravo hosts a showcase of major players from the land that Ram built: Boxcar Sanford, Shit City Dreamgirls, the Swindles, and DJs Smartypants and Plata. And as a holiday treat for diehard Ram jammers, prints of “Ram’s Tacofamily Photo Collage” can be ordered at the show. $5, 9pm, Saluté International Bar, 2801 N St. Mary’s, (210) 732-5307.
