If you missed Monday’s opportunity to be photographed emerging from the closet — don’t cry: National Coming Out Week (Oct 7-15) activities continue through Friday! On Thursday, a series of talks (featuring members of SAC’s Onstage Drama Club) will be held in the Visual Arts and Technology Center (950 Lewis St., # 120), including Dr. John Lee’s “Gay in America” – A History of the LGBT Movement (9:25-10:40am), Dr. Elizabeth de la Portilla’s “Homophobia, Transphobia, and Gender” (10:50am-12:05pm), and Richard Farias’ “Why Gay Marriage Matters” (12:15-1:30pm). Eric Alva and the Sanctuary Project wrap things up Friday with a presentation titled “Real Stories from Real Soldiers: Repealing ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’” (6-7:30pm in SAC’s McCreless Theatre, 1300 San Pedro). All Coming Out Week activities are free and open to the public, 10am-2pm Wed, 9:25am-1:30pm Thu, and 6-7:30pm Fri, San Antonio College, 1300 San Pedro, alamo.edu/sac.
