Thousands of Avocados Spill Onto Texas Highway After Rig Catches Fire
WFAA-TV
About 40,000 pounds of avocados spilled onto the highway south of Waxahachie Thursday afternoon after the 18-wheeler transporting them caught fire.

The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the unfortunate incident on I-35 in the city of Forreston. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, according to WFAA. DPS said evidence leads them to believe the fire was caused by a mechanical issue.

WFAA also reports that no one was injured in the incident. Except for the thousands of avocados. RIP.
