The parade is the annual salute to Fiesta, open to all authorized DoD identification Cardholders or invited guests. Senior Fiesta
This is the only official Fiesta event dedicated to the city’s senior population (55+). Baby boomers can enjoy live entertainment, dancing and special guest appearances. Door prizes and free promotional items will be given out throughout the event. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 21 at Wonderland of Americas Mall
Fiesta de los Reyes
Rey Feo, pretty much the unofficial face of Fiesta, and Market Square, the heart of the city, come together to keep the party going through all 10 days of Fiesta. The best part? It’s free! Daily live entertainment features a variety of music styles from Tejano and Conjunto to rock and cover bands. And what is Fiesta without food booths? Enjoy festival staples like funnel cakes and turkey legs, or go for Mexican classics like fajitas and aguas frescas. Whether you’re going with the kids, your crew of friends or on a date, you’re bound to have a fun time. 10 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., April 21-30 at Market Square, 514 W. Commerce
Oyster Bake
St. Mary's University Campus 2017 is the destination Fiesta Oyster Bake's 101st Anniversary. The event features more than 100,000 oysters served baked, raw and fried plus 70+ food and beverage booths that dish up savory favorites and quench every thirst. Enjoy continuous Rock, Country, Tejano, R&B / Hip Hop, Pop and Children's musical entertainment, as well as a full carnival and a special Fireworks Spectacular on Friday evening. Taste of New Orleans
Who says you need to leave San Antonio to experience the best of New Orleans? This three-day fest brings the tastes and sounds of ‘Nawlins to us. Devour Creole and Cajun dishes like red beans and rice, boudin, crawfish and gumbo while swingin’ to smooth rhythm and blues. A brass band will lead a parade through the grounds, so feel free to join the party or watch. 5 p.m. to midnight April 21-23 at Sunken Gardens
Public Crowning of El Rey Feo
How do you show your love for the People’s King? Attend the crowning ceremony! The 69th Rey Feo, Fred Reyes, will take the throne, followed by a celebration with mariachis and folkloricos. Rub elbows with Rey Feo’s royal court, former Reyes Feos and other Fiesta royalty. 5:30-6:30 p.m. April 21 at Main Plaza
Rey Feo Celebration
The crowning of Rey Feo may be an open invitation for all, but the *real* party begins at the private celebration. Exclusive primarily to Fiesta royalty and special guests, live music and great food & spirits makes this one of the most sought-after events. Kudos to you if you snagged tickets to this year’s event. If not, be sure to plan ahead for next year’s celebration. 7 p.m. to midnight April 21 at Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center
Alamo Heights Night
Alamo Heights Night is more than just a party in the neighborhood — it’s a party for everyone! The event, in its 31st year, highlights San Antonio’s leading restaurants and caterers with delicacies like Texas style BBQ (as if any other style matters), gumbo and gyros. The family-friendly affair also includes activities like laser tag, rock climbing and rides, and live entertainment from Hotcakes, Suede, mariachis and more. 5:30-11:30 p.m. April 21 at Incarnate Word University
Fiesta Masquerade Party
A multicultural celebration in the spirit of Fiesta, this masquerade affair gives you the chance to wear a festive outfit and have the chance to win a prize for best costume. Admission includes food, door prizes and entertainment. Presale tickets are $30 and $35 at the door. 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. April 21 at Hilton Garden Inn
Fiesta Pops
Spend an evening surrounded by Mexican and Latin American music, dance and culture by local talent. Campanas de America offer the Latin sounds while a group from the Guadalupe Dance Company provide the sights, a combination that feels just like Fiesta. 8 p.m. April 21-22 at Tobin Center for the Performing Arts
