If you’re among the millions of fans of the MTV train wreck Jersey Shore you’ll know that “GTL” stands for “Gym, Tan, Laundry,” Snooki is Chilean but wrote a book titled Confessions of a Guidette, The Situation’s real name is Michael Sorrentino, and blow-dryer enthusiast Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio scored the reality show’s first spinoff. Based on the Rhode Island native’s climb to “world-class” DJ status, The Pauly D Project chronicles DelVecchio’s tanfastic career, from meetings with rap mogul 50 Cent (who signed him to his G-Note Records) to warming up the stage for Britney Spears (who invited him onstage for a lapdance). Clubbers can expect to hear his singles “Night of My Life” and “Beat Dat Beat” mixed into a party-forward set spanning nearly every genre of dance music. $25-$45; doors at 8pm Mon, Aug 20; Cowboys Dancehall, 3030 NE Loop 410, (210) 646-9378, cowboysdancehall.com.
