The DoSeum Throws Smashing Piñata Party Just for Grownups!

On Friday, April 20th from 7:00pm-9:30pm, adults are invited to The DoSeum to relive their childhood at the latest ReDO: Adult Night. ReDO: Piñata Party is to feature bites, sips, DJs and musicians, a market, and access to all The DoSeum’s exhibits. This year ReDO is back bigger than ever and ready to entertain your inner child with a Piñata Party. It’s going to be a smashing good time!

Sandra Garcia, VP of Marketing, explains why adults love ReDO nights, “our ReDo adult nights are a wonderful opportunity for guests to explore our incredible exhibit spaces and enjoy our playful, creative space. The DoSeum is a local treasure and we’re so excited to share it with some of biggest fans – adults!”
Take a swing at reminiscing over your favorite childhood memories, while sampling delicious bites and sipping on specialty cocktails. Vendors will include: Ranger Creek, Silver Eagle, Gustology, Maiz 210, Caferros, Paleteria San Antonio, Lolea Sangria and more! Best part, explore all the fun The DoSeum exhibits have to offer, along with special activities! Activities are to include Giant Jenga and Connect Four from Rent Giant Games, Fiesta medal making, and of course a piñata!

This year ReDO will have not one, but four musical acts including: Chulita Vinyl Club, DJ Despeinada, Mariachi las Coronelas, and Ponciano Seoane as seen on The Voice. Kick back and relax with a drink or get ready to dance!
In between bites, guests will be able to visit The DoSeum market, which will feature items from Very That, Cactus Star, Nins and Needles, Girl and Guy Code Soaps, flower crowns, and other fun artisan crafts. Guest should then make their way over to take a photo with Mr. Piñata Man to complete the night.

Proceeds from ReDO: Piñata Party go to fund DoSeum programing. As you are embracing your inner child, feel good knowing you are helping children in our community. Garcia adds, “purchasing a ticket to attend a ReDo event not only allows guests to enjoy an evening of joyful experiences, it also helps support some of The DoSeum’s programs – like camp scholarships and underwriting field experiences for Title 1 schools. As a non-profit, events such as these help us deliver our mission and inspire lifelong learning skills for our community at large.”
$35, 21+, Fri April 20, 7-9:30pm, The DoSeum, 2800 Broadway, thedoseum.org/redo.
