Friday is National Leave Work Early Day. And, whether you subscribe to the wide-world of made-up non-holidays, in general, this is surely a bullshit holiday that we can all get behind. In celebration, Do210 and The Rustic have teamed up to throw a doozy of a local show. Plus, it’s free and it starts early.

The bill will feature, first of all, local indie rock band the Holy Knives, fresh off a national tour in support of its solid new EP Ritual Bloom. Lonely Horse, a longtime fan favorite for the arresting nature and sheer emotive power of its blistering and bluesy desert rock sound, is also on the bill. Lastly, the show will feature space-country/rock ’n’ roll guru Garrett T. Capps, whose recently released album In the Shadows (Again) is an early frontrunner for our favorite SA album of 2018. All in all, it’s a pleasantly diverse and strong bill and, if you ask us, a damn fine excuse to cut out of work early.

Free, Fri Jun 1, 4pm, The Rustic, 17619 La Cantera Pkwy Ste. 204, do210.com/nationalskipday2018.
