Casting Call: Real SA Zombies Needed Fast

Zombies of SA, unite!

On Saturday, January 11 at 8:30 a.m., your presence is required next to the fountain at Wonderland of the Americas (the Bijou entrance, 4522 Fredericksburg). Producer Derek Lee Nixon (an SA actor who directed Supernatural Activity, which you can watch on Netflix) is casting zombies to appear in Walking with the Dead, a film directed by Scott Dow.

The registration is free and you earn the chance to be cast as a zombie in the movie, but if you pay $5 you get an official SA Zombie Walk Sunglasses, a USB charger, snacks and the chance to win tickets to see the Spurs against the Timberwolves. Proceeds go to the 2014 San Antonio Zombie Walk. You can buy your tickets here, but remember you can still become an official zombie in the movie if you don't buy anything—you just won't have the extra goodies.

“We need ‘REAL’ zombies of all ethnicity, sizes and ages,” says the event page. “No acting experience required, just enthusiastic and willing participants ready to take direction and become the ‘Dead’ when they say Action!”
