SA Film Fest submission deadline coming soon

Sweltering June may seem far, far away from our recent sleet storm and still-threatening cold snaps, but for local filmmakers who would like a shot at summertime fame, time is running out.

February 25 is the last day for submissions to the San Antonio Film Festival, held at Instituto Cultural de Mexico en San Antonio June 22-26, 2011.

The fest, formerly known as San Antonio Underground Film Festival, is looking for  talent. Narrative, animation, documentaries, and experimental shorts and features will be considered by the jury. Other categories include films by college students, filmmakers in high school, and strictly local action — San Antonio films shot on location in Bexar County. Filmmakers — yes, there will be prizes.

Visit safilm.com for more info. The submission page is here.
