Tre Trattoria (4003 Broadway) is having a five-course wine dinner on Wednesday, July 23 at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will begin with Prosecco and chef-inspired bites before the dinner at 7 p.m. The menu includes frutti di mare with grilled lemon mayo, local peach and tomato panzanella, house-made tagliatelli with taleggio, porchetta tonnato and lime poundcake with honey gelato. Slab Cinema is teaming up with The Friendly Spot (943 S Alamo) for a friendly screening of Short Circuit on Wednesday, July 23 with tasty eats and a pint. The event is free so get there early to grab a spot. The movie begins at dusk around 8 p.m.
It's another tap takeover at Blue Box Bar (312 Pearl) with Karbach Brewing. Pick up a pint of Hopadillio, Weisse Versa, Lovestreet or Hop Delusion with some branded glassware. Proceeds for the takeover will be donated to CASA for Children.
Kick back with Oskar Blues and The Flying Saucer (11255 Huebner) for a BBQ patio party on Saturday, July 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. Oskar Blues beers and siders with Oskar-made sauce will be featured. Rahr and Sons Brewing Co. is taking over the taps at Missions Untapped on Thursday, July 31 at 6 p.m. For $10 get a Rahr pint glass and three pours of any of the five Rahr beers on tap.
