Indie pop duo D and Chi have a sound that’s the most authentic blend of acoustic, pop and indie-rock we’ve heard in a long while. The songs are definitely pop-structured and easily could show up on a montage in any rom-com ever, but these folks actually write their own music and their level of musicianship shows through each hook. There’s no big producer behind them writing their jams, and songs like “Supernova” are not boring pop factory molds. From busking in the street to playing packed bars, it’s safe to say D and Chi are going places.
