Jack White Will Release Music From His '90s Bands via Third Man Records

The man behind some of the biggest garage-cum-arena bands in the world is releasing three live LPs from his late '90s groups the Go, Two Star Tabernacle and Jack White and the Bricks. The Jack-White-of-all-trades will be pressing and distributing the records through his own label, Third Man, which has recently opened it's second store in White's hometown of Detroit, Michigan, following the venue/recording studio/store in Nashville, Tennessee. The label was also the vinyl publisher that handled the Hateful Eight soundtrack, as well as Jay-Z's Magna Carta... Holy Grail, among other iconic releases.


Recorded live from the Gold Dollar venue in Detroit, the Two Star Tabernacle (who later went on to form Blanche) LP will contain unreleased versions of the White Stripes' tunes "Now Mary" and "Hotel Yorba." The LP will also contain an unreleased White tune entitled "Itchy," and a cover of Merle Travis' "Sixteen Tons," made popular by badass Tennessee Ernie Ford. The Jack White and the Bricks release will feature the Stripes' "Dead Leaves And the Dirty Ground," "You've Got Her in Your Pocket," and "Candy Cane Children."


As the 27th installment in the Third Man's vault subscription series, fans can subscribe to the series and receive subsequent releases from the label, rare cuts and sides that the crew at Third Man deems necessary listening. The packaging will also include flyers, a 45 adapter that doubles as a Third Man coin coupon and setlists. Another exciting release from a collective of musicians, musicologists and music lovers who keep pushing the envelope on music mediums.
