Remember when it rained on Woodstock and instead of canceling the concert they just played in the mud? Millennials ruin everything.
The annual psych rock fest, which this year boasted headliners such as the Beach Boy's Brian Wilson, Ween and Animal Collective, has had to cancel the three-day event, citing severe weather.
Bumm-er. Whether Wilson, who was scheduled to headline Saturday night and perform the Beach Boys' brilliant genre-defining/defying Pet Sounds in its entirety, and for the final time, will make it up to Texans in the future is currently unknown, as are commitments to return to Texas anytime soon from the long list of trip-tastic ensembles that make up the bill.
Any further information can be found on levitation-austin.com, however, as of 5:40 p.m., Thursday, April 28, the site was experiencing difficulties and would not load, quite possibly from all of the traffic of 100,000 heartbroken stoners desperately trying to find out why God won't let them have their King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard fix.
According to the festival's promoters, refunds will be issued through Front Gate Tickets within 30 days and ticket purchasers will be contacted via email.
