Brooklyn's DIIV Taking Over Paper Tiger This Thursday

Post-punk revivalists DIIV (pronounced “dive”) might be your favorite new band you’ve never heard of. Formed in 2011, the five-piece Brooklyn-based group writes music that, while definitely falling into the post-punk genre, have a psychedelic element to their music that’s unique, spacey and danceable as hell.

Also on the bill, which is sort of a Levitation spill-over show since both bands will be playing the four-day fest this weekend, is JJUUJJUU, a krautrock meets stoner rock meets indie prog rock band that will make you think you’re on acid, or remind you that yeah, you’re definitely on acid.

$15-$17, Thu April 26, 8pm, Paper Tiger, 2410 N. St. Mary’s St., papertigersatx.com.
